Examination System
The academic year is divided into two terms. The first term will be from April to September and the second term will be from October to March. Each term will have two Formative Assessments and one Summative Assessment. Assessments will be indicated only in grades in the achievement report.
In each academic year the school will hold the following tests and examinations.
* FA1 (Written work in July)
FA2 (Project, Assignment, Quiz)
* Summative Assessment 1 written work (September)
* FA3 (written work in December)
* FA4 (Project, Assignment, Quiz)
* Summative Assessment 2 Written work (March)
Examination of Students
* The dates of FA1, FA3, SA1 and SA2 are final and every student is supposed to appear in them.
* A student not appearing at the tests will be marked absent and would be discredited for the same.
* If on medical grounds, the students are not allowed to appear for tests, the application for the same supported with a medical certificate issued by a doctor of Government/Municipal Hospital only and countersigned by the parents must be submitted. In such cases leave will be marked in place of absence and students never suffer. Such certificate and application must be submitted before the tests at the latest.
* If a student is absent in Annual Examination on medical basis, he/she has to appear for the exams afterwards which will be arranged by the principal.
* Class work and Home work, which have due weightage in annual promotions, necessitate to be checked regularly and taken care by the parents.
Minimum Attendance Necessary
A Pupil must have a minimum of 75% of the attendance during academic session including attendance put in a previous school, if the student has been admitted on transfer.
Scheme of Studies
Classes I to V : English, Tamil, Hindi, Maths, Environmental studies, Drawing, Art & Craft
Classes VI - VIII : English, Tamil, Hindi, General science, social studies, Maths, drawing, Art & Craft
Attendance
For the successful implementation of the academic program mes regular and punctual attendance is imperative.
